It’s a quibble, but I’ll disagree. Both had/have charismatic personalities. They both could have been Fire and Brimstone preachers and done quite well. They both view(ed) the world as a hellhole in the present that only they could fix.

And it worked very well for both of them until Hitler had Barbarossa fall to pieces when his tanks had their tracks welded into the winter ice and Drumpf had his economic “miracle” die in a developing winter pandemic. Followed by Spring, and Summer, and Fall, and Winter again when he was absolutely incapable of accepting reality and taking action.

In that, he was just like Hitler after Stalingrad which gave the Russkies breathing room to ramp up production.

The Russian winter and the Global Pandemic were Black Swans which were fatal to Hitler and Drumpf because neither of them could accept what had happened and admit fault.

I don’t think we can really call Russia having a cold winter in 1941 a “Black Swan” event on the same scale as a global pandemic. Russia having first “Mud Times” when rains turn their roads to impossible mud puddles and then really cold winters after that was pretty much something you could set your calendar (if not your clock) to.
