I think Gus’ point is that the amount of outrage is inadequately exaggerated for the situation at hand.

I certainly hope that’s the case; war crimes they might not be, but desecration of enemy corpses in the YouTube age is plain stupid and immature.

For soldiers to ponder on in the future: you may think about it, but don’t do it if you don’t want the whole world to know about it and don’t want to have a black mark on your career.
