What I don’t understand is why he keeps babbling about how the cost of health care is a drain on the federal government—now.

Since most people do not have their health care paid for by the feds, why should this be—and why, if it is a drain now, is he proposing that the government drain itself further?

None of this makes sense.

I guess he means it’ll be less of a drain if he forces businesses to pay the government for their employee’s healthcare.
