Greets and saluts from the NYC metro area. Charles’ post about Gingrich ties in nicely with my latest posting about the toxic political environment and lack of leaders acting like leaders instead of spoiled brats who take every political disagreement and make it personal.

It’s not a joking matter. It never was (and yes, I know that this stuff has been going on for decades, but that’s not a reason not to stand up and say something about it).

Here in NJ, a teachers union thought it appropriate to send out a memo “joking” about Gov. Christie’s death. Very funny. Not. The union’s angry about Christie demanding concessions from the unions to help balance the state budget which is in the hole for billions. The union response? Wish “jokingly” for the governor’s death? Classy. Very classy.

With all the serious problems facing the country, we’ve got a political class that is woefully incompetent, self-centered, unprepared to meet the challenges facing the country, and more interested in the blame game than fixing problems.
