I admit to doing the second one alot.

Essentially, when in personal (as in face-to-face) debate with a Conservatives, I will often pull out the fact that Breivik had Tea Party ideas, and ask them if they approve of mass murder of Liberals and other people they don’t like.

It’s not so much just to change their mind, or trying to get them to be nicer, so much as intimidating them into silence. That what I did last year with the nut who was the MSA President.
