It seems that some young people think that “Good Will Hunting” built the park for a movie prop and left it behind for the community.

Just to set the record straight, Matt, Ben, Robin and the whole Good Will Hunting franchise gave nothing to the community. A bar or two might have benefited, but the only thing the community received was the national perception that Will Hunting was a rare, intelligent freak and everybody else in town was a dope or on dope.

Remember acting and actors are the profession of fantasy. It’s not real. A cynical person might describe actors as entertaining liars. Matt Damon didn’t build our park. Our own friends and neighbors did.
