I’m conflicted. If I’m to believe the DOJ report, those saying he had his hands up were not truthful. And that a man who was about to go to college decided, out of nowhere, to assault and officer and reach for the gun. Then after getting shot at, run away, ONLY to turn around and charge at Wilson.

They leave his body to rot for almost 5 hours. Botch evidence. Lie. And present a shitty case to the grand jury. And Mr. Wilson is making money of killing a human being with a big fat smile on his face.

If this was a lie that created the needed attention to the problem, then so be it. Mike Brown’s life mattered, regardless.

I view it much like I view the acquittal of George Zimmerman: The case was so botched and the evidence so in question that the only conclusion the DOJ could safely make was that the evidence just didn’t exist to sustain charges against Wilson. His supporters will go forward believing he was exonerated and that his version of events was the absolute truth, but the FPD made sure we’ll never be able to know for sure.
