As I mentioned above, the deer ran straight into my car. It also lived (though may have died later), and I was traveling a lot faster.

We’re back to the fallacy of big/small numbers again. Google and Uber have had numerous accidents with self-driving cars on public roads, though there are very few self-driving cars and miles driven.

As for now, they have not proved as safe as driver-directed cars. Moreover, they are marketing them to make a profit. It is not up to me to accept their claims of safety, it is up to them to show them. (Basically, the argument shifts the burden of proof to me to accept their claims of safety.)

I see no reason to believe anything a rapey, sexually-assaulting corporate culture that disobeys laws in states and municipalities unless they provide evidence. Their marketing campaign is not evidence.
