Sure , it won’t take long for your salt levels to return to normal once excessive intake is stopped, but if you are taking in too much on a regular basis, it is nevertheless true that you are putting yourself at risk of various problems. I’d much prefer food with less salt used in it’s production (which accounts for most of our salt intake), and just add salt on top (where I can actually taste it).
i’d prefer to make that choice on my own, since I and millions of others like me who don’t have hypertension are at no risk of anything.
