Don’t need to overturn a veto, James. We just need to make a budget that Obama will pay too high a price to veto. If he’s presented a decent budget and then vetoes it, he’ll get slapped with the blame for any resulting shutdown. He catches that blame, and his reelection chances plummet.

There is nothing “decent” about the Ryan Plan. It is a political joke, one that any Democrat who votes for it will pay with his seat. No Democrat who values his seat is going to vote for it, nor anything that even closely resembles it.
