Like I said previously. The future lies with the Afghani people in the long run just as it did and does with Iraq. Something we learned after Rumfeld was fired. The jury is still out on Iraq.

Actually, we learned the exact opposite. Sending in troops to clear an area and then turning it over right away to civilian authorities is a recipe for disaster. The Iraq war turned around when we cleared an area and then kept troops there to keep the peace.
