I agree, there is less-than-zero evidence that Barrack was born anywhere but Hawaii. In fact, to believe such nonsense, one would have to willingly dismiss all evidence to the contrary as expertly planted falsehoods all part of some grand, far-reaching conspiracy.

Is it really a surprise that Nirthers get the same (lack of) respect as Truthers?

That said, I thought that there was some new hook the Nirthers were hanging their hopes on, regarding his childhood in Indonesia. Apparently, there were some claims that his mother and step-father made him an Indonesian citizen, which technically would have invalidated his US citizenship, which he never actually went and corrected through proper channels later in life. Did this “theory” ever have any legs? Or did they not find it provocative enough and went back to warming over the already-debunked stuff again?

That theory has no legs, you have to actually renounce your US citizenship (check the US government sites that discuss citizenship to see this). You’re parents can’t renounce it for you.
