It seems to me that entering a Federal building under false pretenses and attempting to gain access to sensitive phone equipment might just end up coming under some Homeland Security statute or other.
Unless a white boy who looks like an especially retarded version of Timothy McVeigh gets a pass, which frankly wouldn’t surprise me at all.
Isn’t there precedent for a defense against prison time, if the accused would almost certainly suffer harm in prison?
Or may that was on Law and Order.
