We are working on alternative energy. When we get batteries for semi trucks, trains, pickup trucks, that will do the job diesel does great. We don’t have a power supply yet small enough yet with the horsepower to do what internal combustion does. Out here in eastern WA a windmill farm was shut down(plans for it) cause of eco concerns…birds, ruins the view etc..

You all are really forcing me to break my humorous style here.

The Nimby factor is difficult to deal with. However it is vastly less of a NIMBY than the effects of drilling.

As to horsepower and torque that is just wrong an electric motor our-performs an internal combustion engine in almost all ways. It is more reliable as well. The reason they are not used us much in cars is because we have not invested in the infrastructure to power and recharge them.

That could be solved by nuclear reactors, wind farms and a smart gird.
