I think it is less of a reflection of American social conservatives and more of “red china” embracing western culture. The Chinese are extremely bright people but have been held back for cultural reasons: Hence:
“The country that invented the compass, gunpowder, paper and printing is set for a globally important comeback”.
Their genius has now been allowed to compete with western nations.
