Of course nobody thinks that it just sprang out of nowhere; what it shows was that people weren’t constrained by any sort of decency, dignity, or wisdom, but just by disapproval.

So, in ye olden days, if you wanted to be racist you had to hang out at the general store with the other racists and race it up. Now it’s basically acceptable to do on Fox News.

I’ve had people call me a kike to my face, but that’s different than people just having a good ol’ conversation about how all kikes should die.
