I’m in Kentucky and it’s a really weird place, politically.
Generally, our governors are Dems. Our General Assembly is usually equally split between D and R. The Democrats are often blue dogs, the Republicans are often extremely conservative and rabidly pro-business.
Just about all the politicians are outwardly uber-Christian (but not so much in their day-to-day lives).
There’s a serious Libertarian streak here that often merges with stupidity.
It’s like the worst disfunctional family, ever.
