There’s quite a bit of truth in that. How many times have we read of some half-baked nutjob blowing himself to kingdom come while trying to make a bomb, or making an IED that fails to go boom?

An anti-abortion nutjob blew himself up in Lubbock a few years ago. He was holding a pipe bomb between his legs and it went off.
