Allegations of hypothetical “honor killings” and other “known unknowns” aside, had this had been a 17 year old (underage remember) Christian girl that had been lured away by any other “self-made” religious cleric online we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Odds are they would have arrested the “cleric.”

I don’t know about that. It gets very strange when kids are 16+. And law enforcement, if the kid starts shouting about parental abuse, must take it seriously.

Everything gets strange. It’s why we get horror stories about kids getting killed by their parents, regardless of religion; or stories as incredible as that of Jaycee Duggan (sp?)
