I’m not a contractor, but have built some houses , and renovated one. The cost per square foot varies depending upon your location, and who you use to do the work.
I will say this: once you have a contract and plans, try not to change anything… that’s where the term ’ money pit ’ originated. Get the changes done before the work starts.
Thanks…we have some friends who are general (and licensed) contractors, and we’ve seen their work and it’s good. Our intent is to use them as there is a great deal of trust there already. Finalizing plans in advance is good advice though.
