It reminds me of Fallujah 2004, the contractors burned and hung from a bridge. Not necessarily in the degree of desecration, but in principle, being counter productive and just pissing people off.

Anyway, if we’ve given up on winning hearts and minds then why the hell are we there? The whole mission has turned into some kind of Sisyphean hell chore.
