I am so sick of reading how Rick Santorum is a devout Catholic. I call BS on that. The most important philosopher in the history of the Catholic Church was St. Thomas Aquinas and Rick Santorum’s anti-science, creationist agenda is diametrically opposed to what Aquinas taught. Reason and faith must be complementary because they are part of the same truth.

To Santorum and the others like him, reason needs to be controlled so as to not disagree with faith.

I’m so sick of reading how being a Christian automatically makes you a more moral person than non-Christians.

Thomas Aquinas was a gifted thinker. I wonder what he would say now.
