Wright was damning the US for its past transgressions. Well, I do too, to an extent, but I don’t wrap it up in God-talk.

Wright had the temerity to think that “God” should damn America. This brought all sorts of harrumphs from the Patriots. Ironically, the religious right wing is riddled with people who now promote imprecatory prayer.
