By the way: The cops shooting “Plato” at the end of the movie was a righteous kill… he pointed an M1911 at them, that still had a round in the chamber and was perfectly capable of firing. And he had already shot a cop, fer pete’s sake! Yet the audience is supposed to simply take Dean’s cry of “I have the bullets!” as somehow proving that eeevil middle America gunned this poor tyke down for no reason.
