I cringed when I first heard the architect was Frank Gehry. He’s known for buildings like this. And this. Kinda cool, but maybe not really appropriate for an Eisenhower memorial.

But the actual design is pretty good, with some of Gehry’s characteristic flair, but still subdued and respectful for a war hero/president.

I like the Portland Building he did (in Oregon) but I have to admit, the interior has all the charm of an indoor pool’s locker room.
