Which is exactly what Mubarak wants. US support is entirely based on “devil you know”.

It’s been the carrot for decades now. Either we support or prop up Mubarak or else “the MB is going to take over Egypt”. At the same time this support of Mubarak has ironically only made the MB even stronger and more popular.
