i don’t think it is nearly as polite as hardball

i’ve said for years that the democratic party will never be able to compete with the game the republicans are playing until they are willing to lie as much as they’ve been doing for the past 30 years, and now we see the ante upped to where they’d have to be as willing to destroy the country just to get what they want

and the democrats will never do that, so they will always lose

i think the koch bros et al are perfectly willing to utterly destroy the american economy for a decade, since the outcome would be an american workforce of beat, whimpering, minimum wage workers with no pensions, health care, collective bargaining rights and no prospect of real upward mobility

and they are succeeding

The Democrats need to get angry. They need to take a stand and speak strongly and firmly. Otherwise they’re going to continue to be lead by the nose by the GOP. Look. They were basically being toyed with by the GOP even when they had a super majority, through filibusters. Health care reform was literally hijacked by their own party members. And throughout this time I could barely hear a word coming out of Pelosi’s and Reid’s mouths. Do we really want to trust the future of the Democratic Party by two multi-millionaire, rich and comfortable, septuagenarians?
