Just as we don’t talk about self policing when it comes to serial killers even though they are over representatively straight white male. Being a majority in power means that gets ignored. No one freaked about heterosexual white dudes because of Ted Bundy.

Because we accept being white, straight, Christian, and male as the default. That’s “normal Americans”, “everyday Americans”. Any deviation from that, and you’re a Group, an Identity. Cater to white, straight, Christian, and males, and you’re just Supporting America!. Cater to anyone else, it’s Identity Politics!
