Just saying public policy shouldn’t cater to the paranoid it should respond to the best understanding of the science. If individuals want to show that courtesy that’s fine. When the state mandates you wear a mask outdoors in public all the time, it probably just makes more people even more paranoid for no good reason.

Why do we require people to stop at stop signs even when there are no other cars in the area?
