I can’t believe she wrote this: “The infamous troll has tweeted some truly horrible stuff. That doesn’t mean he should have been suspended.”

So, she considers him a real “journalist”? Someone who doxxes rape vicims and doesn’t mind “outing” people with personal info?

How old is she and how much experience has she had? Looks like she’s a “culture” writer and she really stepped in some shit when she defended Upchuck.

That is a remarkably stupid thing to write. Of course CCJ richly deserved the perma-ban.

Oddly enough, the basic thesis of the article (i.e., Twitter’s enforcement of its own rules is arbitrary and capricious) is one I find highly plausible. After all, policing the tweets isn’t going to bring in the big bucks.

Her observation that CCJ’s ban most likely came about only because his target was high-profile with lots of followers also rings true. CCJ’s prior offenses were worse (especially when taken together), but not apparently ban-worthy.

It’s annoying to see a mixture of idiocy and good points in the same piece of writing.
