I think it may be too easy to say that. To my thinking American has been losing in the Middle East for a long long time. It really started to get out of total control with the Iranian mucking around we did to put Shah Reza Pahlavi in puppet power and then backing Hussein in Iraq against the Iranians who we pissed off. Been downhill since…and we’ve been a big part of it. Syria is just another arm of it all.

I just wished years ago American politicians realized we had very little understanding of the people in the region and we were never going to give them the American political experience.

Hell, we are losing our own true American political experience.

Not sure I understand your point. if what you say is correct, some of which I do agree with it seems to embrace my point. Is too easy really just obvious data in a contentious political moment? Our goals are failing to be achieved over there.
