I agree with Charles Pierce.

Not sure I agree with Charles - the dems are always being told - don’t stoop to their level - do the right thing - let them be seen as the stupid - and then what happens - the GOP wins.Took the President a few years to work this one out - by which time the GOP had successfully screwed congress - voted for nothing & taken over the state houses.

What Charles misses is the media’s role in all this - they are the third arm of the GOP. If the media played this straight, Trump would be carrying the blame - ALL of it. None of this violence happened in the last 2 presidential elections - only difference I see is Trump.
