I was on college campuses during these elections (2008-2012) doing voter registration and canvassing. In 2010 people who were big Obama supporters (and in college) didn’t understand that Obama had a 4 year term and didn’t understand that there were mid-term elections that were happening. You want to know why we lost in 2010 - our citizenry is uninformed and were not taught civics correctly.

The root of this is education - not ideology - not a purity test - not even the candidates available. It. Is. Education. With DeVos now as Sec of Education…
