well yeah, hello! the Dems are going down, & maybe we should look at why instead of blaming me, shooting the messenger solves not so much.

Those reasons are:

1. The economy is in a poor state, and the party in power will hurt at the polls whether they are to blame or not.

2. The Conservative cult media has almost total control of an angry cult of voters who believe in a fantasy world almost totally unconnected to reality, and have an irrational hatred of Democrats. The size of this cult might be comparatively small compared to the population, but in a country like the US where voting is not compulsory, relatively small numbers of angry, deluded voters can have a large impact.

3. The Conservative cult media is able to frame almost every issue that reaches the national consciousness, and in a culture as media-driven as the modern USA, that gives it great influence. True believers and uncritical observers allow it to present memes unchallenged by fact or reason. Furthermore, the target audience of these memes is among the most gullible and easily emotionally manipulated.
