Some of the commenters there are moonbats and off in la-la land, but Kos himself is a military vet that used to be a Republican. He’s actually a lot more of a pragmatist than some of the folks on his site. I can remember him going up against his own readers when some of them were demading that DKos only support ideologically pure Democrats for office. He told them outright to STFU with that noise because the point is to win.
