I wonder if anyone’s asked this person if they wanted to go back to the tax rates of that age.

I happen to believe that lowering the top marginal tax rates provided the incentive for the 1% to suck the cash out of their businesses rather than pay their employees or otherwise reinvest it in their businesses. If you were going to have to pay most of that profit back to the government you might as well spread it around to the employees. But now that you can keep almost all of it, it’s time to pull as much profit as humanly (and inhumanely) possible.
