Nothing is going to change as long as the NRA and the Gun Lobby (pretty much the same thing nowadays) continue to convince Americans that guns are a magic talisman that will protect us all from crime, terrorism and tyranny.

Yep…..for them, a firearm is full protection against all manner of evils. Sort of like all those bogus “true cross” relics that used to be floating around Crusades-era Europe.
