Wow. That was brave.

Monday morning, our manager sent out an email blaming the team for screwing up stuff over the weekend, then stating he would be out of the office for the rest of the day and address the issue today. The team dug into the logs and discovered the reason everything broke was the manager used his admin right and made changes all over the system over the weekend and didn’t document or tell anyone what was going on. Last night, the manager sent out a weaselly little email stating “Yeah, it was kind of my fault, but you guys should have caught the changes, even though they ran over the weekend while you weren’t here.” Some of our team is already using the “open door policy” to escalate this to his boss. This kind of bullshit has been happening repeatedly over the last 3-4 months.
