For all of the “WE GONNA DIE CUZ TERRORISTS” from conservatives, I am amazed at the indifference shown to a conspiracy to enter and tap a sitting US senator’s office. Do they think it should be soft-pedaled? Chalked up to boyish hijinks?
It just feeds into the contempt-of-government culture, IMO, giving the impression that security breaches of our politicians are nothing to worry about. Not the “story of the century”? Shouldn’t it at least matter, a little?

Zero. The minimum should be that they had a transmitter of some kind on them when they were arrested. If the charge could include “tapping” then it would. It doesn’t.
