Treasure your parents and forgive their faults. I’m sure you do, but I’m just sayin’… I lost my dad as a teen and have been estranged from my mom for decades, so I never got to know either one as an adult. You’re incredibly lucky/blessed to have the opportunity to know yours.

I am so sorry. I try to be mindful of how blessed I am. My relationship with my mother especially because I never thought we would ever get along. Sometimes I have to remind myself that she literally birthed me (and I think she has had to remind herself of the same). Alot of forgiveness and letting go, but I know I am blessed.
