I remember my folks in Houston bringing their own bottle and buying a mixed drink setup and club membership in one fee.

Rockwall was dry until about ten years ago. We went to Chili’s and asked for something, and they had to take my driver’s license, enter me into their club, and then get me the drink.

Enough new people finally moved in that we changed the law on it. If you look at a map, you will see a town just to the east of Rockwall called Mobile City. It contains a trailer park and an alcohol store, whose entire existence was to support a store just outside the city.
