Oops. My error. Got crossed up with the Forrest stuff and thought there was a reference to something Robert E Lee wrote. (For instance having his troops surrender rather than attempting a last ditch guerilla war that would have devastated the South even further.)

This Lee showing some integrity by resigning still applies. And that is still different from honor in any case. ;)
