I’d almost bet these propagandized young people haven’t actually thought through what ISIS stands for—death and destruction of any established order, no matter where they can get a foot-hold, and imposition of ISIS’s own brand of authoritarianism. Since it appears that many don’t carry identity cards of any kind, or forged ones, it’s pretty easy to pass oneself off as another, more important, player as well.

It certainly isn’t the kind of idealized, romantic notion of “revolution” most young people dream about and discard when reality sets in.

Army arrests ‘ISIS commander’ in east Lebanon: state media

LBCI and other Lebanese media later identified the man as Abdel-Rahman al-Bezerbashi, 21, an ISIS member who goes by the nickname “Baghdadi’s grandson.”
