Sorry, I did a lot of reading about brains the last few years. There’s inherent bias in the knowledge acquired.

Maladaptive brain structures come in all varieties. In some, reasoning is an option. In many, any apparent reasoning seems to wear off, or be quickly forgotten. This kind of maladaptive structure is often caused by CTE, which happens in every degree, from mild to severe, from one big blow to the head, or many small ones, or some combination. Nobody should be written off without actual knowledge about what’s going on. CTE can only be diagnosed after death. If there’s life, there’s hope, usually.

You can try to fix brain-damaged Conservatives, but I think you’re wasting your time out of sympathy from having a brain-injury yourself. Conservatism is not like what you went through. It’s structural changes involved in embracing hate and fear.
