I bought a new computer today (baby’s first laptop!), and I’m finding it hard to get used to the embedded square clicker thingie that pretends it’s a mouse.

On the upside, wow have computers gotten cheaper since the last time I bought, and even cheaper-cheaper since the first time I bought. My first Macintosh, 30 years ago, even with a student discount, cost 50% more $$ than today’s macbook pro. For hundreds of dollars more I could have gotten a modem. I’m not even sure what that means in adjusted-for-inflation dollars.
