Probably mostly unrelated to real-world policy/diplomacy/economics, but mainly just to try to paint Biden/Democrats as “not tough enough” on their xenophobic Boogeyman-of-the-Month Year?

IMHO, it’s unlikely to work well outside the usual “base” - and (if the D campaign gets it act together, easily refuted): but it’s just indicative of how little the Trump Admin and the GOP really have to run on….

Oh, and “only Trump can fix/revive the economy”: how? By returning to Obama-era economic policies?? Kind of a flaw in that argument, too.

Biden can point to that he was more focused on the virus when most people were writing his campaign off than Trump was. Biden was writing an op ed about this in January. People think Joe is off but I see an elder statesman who stays engaged with the world around us. I think that alone is why I easily voted for Biden and think he will be a good president.
