Look, SJ, it’s like this: The fact that an avowed Nazi should convert (or revert, see my early post) to a religion noted for:

1) The presence of genocidal hatred against Jews as a matter of doctrine and faith;

2) Genocide of the Jews as a necessary condition of its eschatology; and

3) The close ties and sympathies between its leadership (the Grand Mufti, Mohammad Amin al-Husayni) and the leadership of the Third Reich during the war

is hardly surprising to anyone. If it is your intention to point out that not all Muslims are Nazis, and not all Nazis are Muslim, you are, of course, correct. If, however, you mean to argue that there is no affinity there, you are, unfortunately, sadly mistaken.
