In this age of interwebbys and conservative blogs, the paper trail caught him. Nothing to do with his wanting to fall on a sword OR having an “ahem” moment

the paper trail also points to Barney Frank’s inept economic decisions (that lead to our current housing crisis) and Charlie Rengel’s tax evasion -(etc…) They are still in power.

I’m not sure what made Dodd admit he lied. Most democrats are above the law, above reproach, above shame, and above media scrutiny.
So why bother with honesty? Democrats are covered.
