Every one of the half-brained libertarian schemes to set up some sort of independent community fails. Whether the Galt’s Gulch stunt in Chile, Sealand off the coast of Britain, Somalia, Chile under Pinochet, &c, they are either grifts or are overrun by someone else.

A seastead is particularly stupid - who would come to their aid (other than rescue) in bad weather, &c? (Sealand was overrun by mercenaries in 1978.)

Fuck bad weather. Who is going to clean their toilets and take out the trash?
