Just as an observation in re: Facebook, it really is a haven for boomers now. There are several former high school classmates who have been reminiscing about Senior Cut Day and other such formative events of our misspent youth in a FB group they formed. Me, I had a pretty good time in high school, but a much more interesting life afterward, so reminiscing about The Good Old Days has less appeal.

I figure since I have spent the last 35 years working with people perpetually younger than me (aka teenagers), I’ve developed a better appreciation of the Now than of the Past. Also, I left my hometown in 1978 forever and have never had a yen to return to it.
